These are the particulars required by section 8 of the Norwegian E-commerce Act. The supervisory authorities are Sør-Fron municipality and the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.
Enquiry, offer and agreement
The forms on this site are enquiries, not bookings, and bind neither party.
- Receipt of the enquiry is confirmed on screen.
- We reply with an offer stating price, dates and what is included.
- An agreement is concluded when the offer has been accepted in writing and the acceptance confirmed by us.
Prices are stated in Norwegian kroner including VAT and are indicative until an offer has been made. Typographical errors are reserved, and a room or cabin may be occupied. The calendar on the site shows events, not availability.
Cancellation and the right of withdrawal
Section 22(l) of the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act excepts contracts for accommodation, catering and leisure activities to be supplied on a specific date or within a specific period. A reservation with us is therefore not covered by the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal.
Our cancellation terms apply instead and are set out in the offer. Unless otherwise agreed:
- more than 30 days before arrival: free of charge;
- 30 to 14 days before arrival: 50% of the agreed price;
- less than 14 days before arrival, or non-arrival: the full price;
- for parties and events, separate deadlines are agreed in the offer.
Where we cannot supply what was agreed, equivalent accommodation or a full refund of the amount paid is offered. Consequential costs, including travel, are not covered.
During the stay
- Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 12:00, unless otherwise agreed.
- Smoking indoors is prohibited in all rooms, cabins and shared areas, cf. section 25 of the Norwegian Tobacco Control Act.
- Guests are liable for damage to buildings, fittings and equipment.
- Allergies and other particular requirements must be stated when booking.
Complaints
Complaints should be sent to [email protected] and will be answered within 14 days. Defects must be notified within a reasonable time of being discovered.
If the complaint is not resolved, the matter may be brought before the Norwegian Consumer Council, or the Package Travel Complaints Board if the stay formed part of a package tour. The Norwegian Consumer Authority supervises marketing and contract terms.
Governing law and venue
The agreement is governed by Norwegian law. The venue is Vestre Innlandet District Court. Consumers may always bring proceedings before the court of their own domicile, and the mandatory consumer rights of the consumer's country of residence are unaffected by this choice of law.
